Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-05

This Privacy Policy explains how the Group Post Helper Chrome extension ("the Extension", "we") handles information when you use it. We designed the Extension to work locally in your browser and to collect as little data as possible.

1. Single purpose

The Extension helps you manage your own Facebook accounts, groups, posts and posting campaigns (including scheduling) from one dashboard.

2. Data the Extension handles

To provide its single purpose, the Extension handles the following data on your device:

  • Authentication information: Facebook session cookies and tokens of the accounts you choose to add, used only to act on your behalf on facebook.com.
  • Website content: the groups you join, and the post content, images and videos you create or upload for publishing.
  • Settings and activity data: campaign configuration, schedules, posting history/logs, and your preferences (e.g. language).

3. Where data is stored

All data above is stored locally in your browser using Chrome storage (chrome.storage). It is not transmitted to our servers. Removing the Extension or clearing its data deletes it.

Content you choose to publish is sent directly from your browser to Facebook, subject to Facebook's own privacy policy.

4. No sale or sharing of data

  • We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, except as needed to provide the single purpose (i.e. sending your content to Facebook at your request).
  • We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the Extension's single purpose.
  • We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
  • We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs in the Extension.

5. Permissions and why we need them

  • storage: save your accounts, drafts, campaigns, settings and logs locally.
  • cookies: read and use the Facebook session of accounts you add so the Extension can act as that account.
  • alarms: run scheduled posts and campaigns at the time you set.
  • scripting: interact with Facebook pages to publish posts and read your group list.
  • Host access (facebook.com, upload.facebook.com, rupload.facebook.com): required to publish posts and upload media to Facebook.

6. Remote code

The Extension does not load or execute remote code. All code is bundled in the package published on the Chrome Web Store.

7. Limited Use disclosure

The use of information received by the Extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

8. Security

Data stays within your browser profile and is protected by your operating system and browser security. Please keep your device secure, as anyone with access to your browser profile may access stored sessions.

9. Your control and rights

You can remove any account, post or campaign inside the Extension, or uninstall the Extension at any time to delete all locally stored data. Because we do not collect your data on our servers, we hold no personal data to export or erase on your behalf.

10. Children

The Extension is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law).

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Extension changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision; material changes will be reflected here.
